Starting 2011 with two crushing defeats of 9-0 and 10-0 the Vets have got better and better over the last 4 games. 2 draws and 2 defeats but we have been in with a very good shout of winning all 4.
There is now a growing confidence in the squad. That elusive second win of the season surely isn't too far away...

 

The objective at the start of the season was to put out a team of mainly veterans who would give opposition teams a game in Division 4. Early doors that was the case but we hit a very poor patch and started taking drubbings. Turning out to take a thrashing is not why we entered a competitive league. We all signed up for competitive football, so competitive is what we have to be. That has shown in the last 4 games and we're unlucky not to have gained more than just 2 points and a cup exit from them.

Rising away from the bottom of the table now has to be this season's objective. New players - good players - are now available to to help in this should we need them.
